Bienvenidos Familia Kammeraad!

Join us in welcoming a new Grand Rapids Family to our Colombian Connection! I met Kevin and Stephanie at the FFIC - Heritage Camp this summer. They ran Silas' International Preschool Camp, and Silas was taken with their little boy, Carlos. Carlos was born in Guatamala, and this past summer they were on their way to pursuing their 2nd adoption through Ecuador.

Well, there was a reason God allowed our paths to cross, as they fell in love with a precious little girl from Bogota, Colombia (Los Pisingos) who was on the CHSFS waiting list for special needs children. Stephanie soon pieced it all together, and realized that Isabel and Silas were both cared for by Los Pisingos...so, she gave me a call. I was so excited to learn that this great family would possibly get approved for this little one...

...and that is what happened recently! Maria Josephine was approved to be their new hija!! They are working hard on putting together their dossier and I800 so that they can travel sonner than later!

Which is overwhelming to think that our soon to be hijas, Caroline and Marta, are with little Maria at this time!

Please keep both of our families in your prayers as we wait on all our paperwork to be approved! It would be amazing to be able to travel with the Kammeraad family (Silas would have a wonderful little companion in Carlos - and us families would have lots of fun together)!! That may be a long shot...but, we can pray! It is just a blessing to know that our little girls will have a LP companion coming to GR in the upcoming months! K
